I just drug it home....really...like an hour ago... got this 65 and another worse not as complete 64 thunderbird. This one was being fixed up by a local shop about 5 years ago.. they pulled the motor and completly went through it, new crank and all.. Recepits to prove it.. Anyways all the farter they got was rebuild and get it cranked.. never finished putting it back together.. So it was pushed outside to rot... I remembered the car and am looking for a 390 for my 61 thunderbird... So I drove over and asked and he said if I promised to take both...$500 will move em.. SO here I am, just got done off loading it.. STILL have to go get the other rust bucket...AND I can't help but wanna fix it?? and deep down I know I should yank the motor and stick in my 61 and part the both of them out.... What do you think??? I really love the interior of these year birds.....

Brace yourself, it filled with junk and covered in mold...

Looks like a heavy bumper, your dog is kind of scary in the last pic aswell.

Could be a neat car, but for $500 I doubt you could get another engine for your '61.

    Hard to say, but cool!

  5. I've successfully sold worse ones. Slap a complete one together and advertise it... part out the other one.

This is a no-brainer. Take the good motor, part out the good stuff, sell the interior to rat rodders in the area, drag the rest to the scrap yard. Without interior, motor and trans, they're 2250 lbs. Scrap is going 140.00 a ton right now here, that's about 300.00 in scrap. Parts, probably another 3-600. I've done three 428 cars this month alone. FAR, FAR more money parting these out.

Despite some physical problems like deminished eyesight and her arm doesn't have the flexability it used to...she is mentaly great!! Back to her old self!! Pull up the original thread that I posted about her wreck, I got her to post on it a year later...pretty cool considering she was suposed to be brain dead.. Not to mention she got back together with my dad, and they bought a house together one town over. So I bought her old house.. Pretty neat how things work out huh??

I'm with Mr. Mopar on this one! Keep the 390 for a '67-'70 Stang project or something. :D

i like the way you think. im the same way. Its not like there building more of these cars. Scrapping them means that there just one less in this world.

I say, part one out to help the other and just junk one out.

    goodluck:)

  22. All you guys think time just stopped for the original poster three years ago or something, he's done nothing with them and still has them? I suppose it's possible, but trucktricks should have sent a PM instead of confusing everyone else.
