It would make a great mock-up in preparation for a build.

I'm sorry...I just don't understand the "barn find" look. Reminds me of these kids walking around holding their pants up - trying to be something they're not.

But it's your car...enjoy it (which I'm sure you will)...don't mean to denigrate what you've accomplished.

I don't understand that......thing in your avatar. Reminds me of the Special Olympics and racing Hondas.

    Cool car. Drive it.

    Nice job Mike!

    It looks great!

Some people may not appreciate all that you have gone through to get that car on the road. But you built it with your own two hands with the help of friends and family. And you can be proud. Sure it's not "done", and many will scoff and say "ratrod", but alot more will see that you have put together a great looking traditionally styled hot rod.

Can't wait to see it at the HAMB Drags!

    Cool car, I dig it.

I think it needs a taller tire in the rear, but that's just my opinion.

You should be proud of it.

You did a good job but forgot the front spring clamp to keep the leaves together, not bashing just trying to keep it on the road.

Dude, that's awesome! I dig the tailights too. Now that it's on the road, let me be the first one to ask..."Uh, what color are you gonna paint it?":D Now that that's out of the way, go drive the whells off it!

Neat car. Love that column shift.

  19. The truth is it is a Barn Find, The body came out of MO, out of a Barn.
And I want to drive it, so maybe it stays this way, maybe it doesn't.
Just like anything else, it is a process.
This is the completed phase one of the build, get it together and drive it.
I get to "Drive the wheels Off" while I dream up the next phase and work the bugs out.

    thanks for you post................

  20. Yes, 48 Hudson I believe. I love them. They come up on Ebay once and a while.

    Thanks-

  21. That's funny! And the other question I sometimes get is,
    "Did you Drive that Here?"

    Thanks-

  22. Yes, I've noticed that, I need to put some "Tradional style bailing wire" on the leaves.

The Spring perches are off the end of the radius rods. I've put them to the test, so far so good!

    Thanks guys-
