I painted the '56, what do you think?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 63CadGuy, Jun 19, 2007.

  1. I wasn't planning on putting a clearcoat paint on it this year but my winter project turned out better then expected and my buddies talked me into clearcoat paint. The car is not perfect, but this was my first full car attempt at body work, I learned a ton, with the help of my friend who owns a body shop, and it feels great to be able to say I did it. Now all the patina parts that were just fine for a primer paintjob have to go, but that will have to wait until I get caught up with the bills on this one so far. There is also a pic of what it looked like 2 years ago when I bought it.

Nice save of old metal. Looks sharp. It doesn't have to be perfect. I actually prefer it not be. I do like the paint better than primer though.
