Just got the call that a Pre 1920 gas pump that has been inside a carrage house since new needs to be removed. Saw it 6-8 months ago can't remember the brand, 6-8 feet tall, original paint, never had a globe. Does anyone know if they are as desireable as the outside pumps from the same era?
Thanks, I'll take photos before, during, & after I remove it. There is a wash rack in the center bay with a neat fixture in the celing that allows the hose to move 360 degrees around the car as you wash it. Can't help but wonder what types of cars called that carriage house home.
Definitly get the pump. I can't imagine how nice it must be not being exposed to the elements and outside abuse. Yea, be sure to post pictures. Frank
Bob, some of them are insanely desirable. Does it have any br*** or otherwise polished hardware? Oil and fuel pumps that were made specifically for indoor use are pretty rare. All the other stuff in there would be cool to have, too. Cris
Many of the "indoor" ones are in wood cases, they look like roll top desks. (I have some pics here someplace) But, people used all kinds of pumps in all kinds of places. You never know what you'll find. (no matter what, you know it should be in good shape) Post pics... I love pumps! (have a bunch and have owned over 60 of them)
