  1. And just noticed that "The King" has actually got a name in the movie...other than The King, or Mr The King...

    It's

    "Strip Weathers"

    Too funny....

    :D:D:D

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.....

Strip Weathers? I'd better watch my copy of Cars and catch this tidbit. Wonder why for the name.?

But we ALL know that the US has had only one King in it's 231 years of existence and he did the voiceovers of the #43...:)

OK, since you brought up the movie, where the hell is Elvis? He's listed in the credits, but I have never found him in the movie. Just got back from the G.C. and rt.66 a few weeks ago. We found the TeePee Motel and a few other places copied in the movie. IS Luigi's garage in Williams,Ar.? I found a Cooper tire store there that looks just like it.

There is an RV at the first race with a big pomp like Elvis, I wonder if that is him. My kid still watches that movie just about every other day. I still get a kick out of the tractor tipping when the combine comes, Mater "that's Frank" then when there being chased "He's gonna getcha" damn funny stuff....

  9. Watch the stands at the end of the movies, during the big race. I've seen 4 or 5 of the same make and models I've owned over the years.

Luigi's Tire Store is based on a Texaco station in Oklahoma.

  19. Maybe we can ask Jive-Bomber nicely if he will spill some more secrets about the movie!

Actually if you look close a lot of the mountains are cadilliac fins and go in order from around 56 to around 62. can't remember exact years.

My son has seen this movie about 1000 times. I still think it's a good movie but if I never see it again it won't hurt my feelings any.

Great movie. My daughter and I have seen it many many times. I think the tractor tipping has to be one of the funniest scenes in the movie.

  29. I watch it at least once or twice a week, my hobby room(guest bedroom) is done up in cars bedding, wall art, the happy meal cars, and more. My wife and I love the movie, and our 7mo old daughter watches it too..
