Well, here's the roadster I hope to be picking up at the end of the month. Just trying to figure out the best day to go and get it. My plans are to leave the body as is. Drop it down quite a bit with a 46" wide, 4"-5"dropped axle and a reverse eye spring. I also plan to step the rear frame with a reverse eye back there as well. Either 16" Ford steelies or I also have a set of 1935 or so 16" spokes too. I have to talk a certain HAMBer who shall remain nameless out of his 40 Ford drivetrain, but that's pretty much my plans for it. How bout some cool pics of full fendered A roadsters. Maybe I'll change my mind about the paint.
theres a really nice full fendered 31 roadster in one of Don Montgomery's books. I'm thinking its the newest one "hot rod s****book". they added some metal to the front fenders and it looks pretty good might be worth checking out for ideas looks like a nice solid car to start with Zach
Scott, Take a look here. Carnut.com is by far the best place to finf pictures. http://carnut.com/photo/open/05/_openm1.html
You can't go wrong if you use Larry Braga as your inspiration when building a full fendered Model A. The roadster below was built by Larry, and owned by a good friend out of San Bernardino, Dan Zank. The delivery was also built by Larry and owned by Dan, although he sold it several years ago. -Ryan
This thread from last year should be helpful as well. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52680&showall=1 -Ryan
It might be a little late , but here is a 31 that I drew while I was having a long phone conversation a few years ago. The main thing is skinny bias plys way up under the fenders, some repro 54 studebaker hubcaps , and maybe a white padded carson top and running boards. Light blue paint........
