If BG lives up to his rep, you can bet they will be damned expensive.

I've never heard of these carbs and a google search yielded nothing. Even going to Rod & Custom's website didn't show anything.

Any pics?

The repop stromberg's are made by a different company.

Well I called them on it and they made it sound like it was a big secret. No info on it as far as pricing goes. My sales rep didn't have any pictures or pricing he could give me... but he fowarded me to his sales manager.

I have a voicemail into their sales manager. Lets see if I get a phone call back.

I hope this guy chimes in... :)

i'm sure pricing is a ways off, the ones in the article were prototypes, said they were to be available late fall or so.

sorry, no pics but what really ruins the looks as far as i'm concerned, is that they have the standard demon float bowl like their 4bbl carbs, big ***ed DEMON logo and all. i'd suggest BG make a cast looking billet finned fuel bowl to put on the front carb, or at least a smooth face or something.

IMHO they won't be very popular just because they look too modern on a vintage engine. the upside is they'll be a highly tunable carb, would be good carbs for a really hot motor.

if somebody would combine modern technology with a carb body that looked almost exactly like a 97, they'd be a rich man.

From my guy at BG:

I am currently working on part numbers and pricing for this item. What I
do know is there will be a primary carburetor which will have idle
mixtures screws and the availability to have a choke added. There will
be a secondary carburetor without mixture screws and no choke
availability. They are going to retail around $395.95 each and the
chokes are going to be available as electric or manual.

the seem to be a good carb..

the funny thing about all this..is that the carb was my idea.i was talking to robin grant and was describing all the problems with old carbs.we talked back and forth about the carbs..then they started production on them.very cool !!they have good retro look.and parts will be out there unlike the old carbs..

thanks alot barry !

Should be a good performer & price isn't out of line when you consider the repop Strombergs are at least $450 each now...

The downside is they don't look the part...would probably be good on a 60s-flavored rod though.

Looks as though they have also added an "old school" version of their triple duece setup.

Interesting carb.....kinda like a fuel injector.

Looks like a "mini" Predator.......:)

The float bowl looks as if it'll hit the carb in front of it, I'm ***uming these will work on all manifolds made to run 97's????

here's another pic..

as far as them being a little expensive..a new stromberg is more.and you can't find one to purchase and are they're not redsigned(old world performance)...

believe me ..i just went through 16 94's to get 4 good carbs..i might still swapp them for the BG's and sell y'all my old carbs..
