    Guys,
The company I work for sells a ton of 255 lph EFI fuel pumps to the tuner market. We also manufacture a line of replacement fuel pump modules for GM trucks. We are kicking around the idea of putting a 255 lph pump in the GM modules and marketing them for guys that need the extra flow. The problem is we don't know if there is a market for them or not. I would appreciate any comments by any of you guys that know the GM truck market. Is this a dumb idea or not. What do you think?

I would think the guys doing blowers and turbos would be interested but there isn't much market out here for that stuff because Kalifornia requires "E.O." (Executive order) numbers on any non-OEM components. You might check with Whipple, Magnuson and Vortec and see what they use in their kits. Alot of them use the "Boost-a-pump" inline systems.

Go for it. And while you are at it, check out www.performancetrucks.net

Guys are using boost a pumps and inline pumps, but are restricted by the stock pump in the tank still.

no charge for the links or the info, but a pump would be nice when u put them out, HAHA JK best of luck to you and ur company

    You got anything for diesels?
Dodge lift pumps for the ***mins goes out just after the 100K warranty ends and then that starves the VP44 injection which pump goes out and that is $1400 just for the injection pump. We installed a Holley blue lift pump when our's started to go out to save the 44.

Yes that's what I'm seeing as well even though its not a good installation at all. GM (and many others) uses a module to house the fuel pump. The OE pump has an aspirator (jet) used to keep the module full of fuel. The 255 doesn't have a jet so they are forced to fill the module by drilling holes in to or relying on the return line fuel to fill it. Both are bad ideas. That is why I am snooping around to see if there is a market for a complete module with a jet type 255 already in it. It looks like there is. Thanks for your comments.

We have looked at the kits on the market today and determined that developing one would require too much time and $$$$.
