Thanks for sharing this special moment with us. In doing so it gives great insight into the job she did raising you. You said one thing that really got my attention and that is the fact you were holding her hand as she left for a far better place. That's one wish I've had for years and that's to be holding my mom's hand when her time comes. I'm her first born and know more about her struggles than my siblings. she was the rock that held things together while my father served our country as a bomber pilot in the Air Force. She came from a simple farming background , raised by two of the most wonderful people I've had the privilage to know. From them she gained an inner strength that sustains her yet today even after my fathers passing.
Sorry for going on so but you touched a chord in me. My condolences to you and your family. I would have liked to have met your mom.

    Hey everyone,

I'm in awe, but not surprised, with the comments and sympathy for our family that has been shown here. People wonder what the attraction is of this place and while cars are the common denominator, the people make the board.

I really do hope that Mom shows through in me, I'll try to live up to that.

Thanks for all who commented and all who took the time to read this and thought about thier mother and what they mean to them.

    Thanks,
    George and Terry

Thoughts go out to you & your family during this most difficult of times. It's been said dozens of times already, but she obviously had a tremendously positive influence on you - I know she is proud.

I'm very, very sorry for your loss. Feel fortunate that you were there to comfort her and hold her upon her passing. By what you have shared with us it is obvious she did her job well.
