Hey, that's cool - just had a look for my place:
    http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v...t=-90&dir=0&alt=-1000&scene=6274710&encType=1

I reckon this was taken about 2000 as I can see my old Volvo 240 estate daily and my '79 C10. The truck was sold a while ago and the Volvo scrapped last year. And the yard doesn't look that tidy today!

Sorry for going a bit O/T, although I am probably lucky as it sounds as if I'd be on the receiving end of some shit if I was in Ca.

Instructions on how to dispose of a rotten neighbor.

    Items needed:
    1 red magic marker
    1 blue magic marker
1 tube of white liquid white-out
1 bumper sticker of kid whizzing on car

Step 1) Adhere bumper sticker on back window of rotten neighbors car.
Step 2) On one side of the roof of the car on the sticker, draw an obvious red square and fill it in. Do the same on the other side with a blue square and fill it in.
Step 3) Using the white-out, draw and fill in a white star on the door of the car on the sticker.
    Step 4) Wait patiently
Step 5) wave bye-bye to now frantic, rotten neighbor that is being carted away, in handcuffs, on trumped-up charges, by pissed-off Police Officers.

Quit laughing, it works. My dispatcher pissed me off. He got 31 moving violations in one week, had to go to court, and ended up having his drivers license suspended for one year.

Just move to the Ozarks, it's a hillbilly tradition to have 6-7 cars parked around the yard. Actually you need that many just to keep one that will get you to work. And don't worry if it smokes, is rusty, or is 3 different colors nobody will complain. I have 50+ cars in my side yard and have only people stopping by wanting to look not complain. Ron

  5. With my experiences with City Government after working for them for many years , the city did not seek out your vehicle to ticket, One of your fine residents in the apartment complex got tired of looking at your ride and turned you in to the city. Always works that way, can't stand to see you having fun!!!

fucked up apartment managers. I had my running, registered driving 61 dodge in my assigned covered space.... seeing as how there was 5 feet hanging over behind the rear wheels and 2 feet in the front when I parked it face first 3 feet were out in the rain. so I backed it in and got a notice they were going to tow it for backing in. this is a car that had a cover on it and was only driven for fun. not every day.

so I went and told them it only moves about once a week, told them why I needed to back it in and they weren't hearing any of it. so there my car sat all winter with the ass end in the rain cuz those stupid bastards would not listen to reason.

i showed those fuckers though.. a tree limb fell on my datsun pick up. had my buddy write up a 600.00 estimate of repair and they gave me a check for 6 bills

doesn't help with your troubles. just shows how apt managers can be dicks

At least you've got THAT to look forward to when your lease is up. I'll stay in MI and deal with the crap weather. I, too, plow out the neighbors and help out when I can. I just have one that I suspect would do it because I have an opinion on certain things that go on around here. Too political to get into!

I don't get it either. You make squares on a bumper sticker on top of the car? This makes no sense...?

Here in Tulsa, the city is pretty proud of the fact that 85-90% of the violations they investigate are reported by neighbors or other private parties. I am reported here about once every 6 months, and by the old retired Navy prick that lives 5 doors down from me. He reports me, and know how I found out? This dumbass came down here and tried to 'recruit' my neighbor across the street (semi-retired Marine) and the lady next door to me (retired widow) to turn me in and press other complaints. Well, they both told me, and we all know who it is now. What's worse is that this asshole calls in and reports about my stuff, but doesn't say anything about the 20+ Mexicans with thier 14 cars (LITERALLY 14 cars) living next door to him.

What goes around, comes around. I've half a mind to do what my dad did once to a guy... he dumped a 50# box of roofing nails across the end of his entire driveway! Like the old man says, I don't get mad, I get even... and then some.

Years ago I had a guy live a mile down the road that wanted to buy a car I had sitting in my yard but I wouldn't sell it. Yes I'll admit I had a few cars more than I should in my yard. Anyways I get a notice from the courthouse about it and I go down there to discuss it with them. I know some of the people down there because I buy and sell repo'd properties and clean them up. I made a deal with them to allow me time to build my first shed. They also told me he turned me in. So in return I turned him in for running a body shop out of his barn in a residential neighborhood.
He sure acted surprise when he stopped the last time trying to buy the car that I still wouldn't sell it knowing I was served papers. He wasn't happy when he found out I didn't have to get rid of them but they forced him to close his business. He moved shortly after that.

Now if I didn't know them at the courthouse it might have been a different story.
