1941 Dash

    Anyone got a photo of a 1941 Ford dash? Woundering what it looks like combared to a 1940 Dash.

    Here are a couple of pictures of tired old '41 dashes. They look not at all like a '40 dash, but in my opinion are very nice looking when complete.

    The lighter-colored stripe visible in the end view was covered by pieces of soybean plastic from the factory. These parts almost invariably cracked and shriveled within 25 years or so. Back in the day you could get chrome-plated, diecast replacements for these, but I doubt that they're still made.

    Bob Drake might make repop parts in plastic, but I don't know.

    One we have in the rafters here some place.
    Had the metal insert the tan part.. Chopolds sent it to me a few years ago
    to practice woodgraining on..
