I HAD to have it-The voices wouldn't stop

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Jun 23, 2007.

  1. I saw this @ the roadster show last weekend and it made me ****ing nuts. For 2 days it just kept talkin to me, then yelling, then screaming. Anyway, although it wasn't for sale ( i never let that interfere), the planets lined up, and i bought this today. I need it like a hole in the head (and i can't really afford it), but, hey, we only live once

That's one of the best looking '64's I've ever seen. I usually don't like them compared to '65's, but that one is awesome.

I bought this 65 elky and malibu a while back.. The elky was a big cube back half car, the malibu has been a race car since the late 60s. I got another stock ch***is and swaped it under the elky and cut the ****py tubes out of the bed...the plan was to stick the narrowed disk brake frame from under the elky under the malibu but I havent worked on them since before I went to school.

I love the early El Caminos. Maybe the voices can help you with the oil in the intake problem?!

  9. I took the easy way out this time. I'm finishing my 32, and i needed a little instant gratification, not another project. BUT, i was considering this paint scheme for my 60 Impala until i saw this

  10. That looks *****in', congrats, bringing it to Paso next year? Oh wait a minute, it's too "new" again :D :D :D.

I saved those pictures when I saw them. Put some real chrome steel wheels on it with spiders (not those ug-o smoothies) and it will be perfect.

    Nice score!

    Niiice.

Elky's are funny because they are so ver "Love 'em or Hate 'em"...
Personally I dig them. My wife, however calls them "Sporks"

good job. I have a cash fix for you- give me the vette, I will pretend to be a charity, bingo! Tax write off!

Yeah, I didn't really think it would work, but you can't blame a guy for trying.

Now that is how an El Camino should look.

  25. Thanks everybody. I sure can't take credit for building it. But it's pretty. Bob, @ Bob's Rod/Custom in Upland Ca gets the credit. A recent aquaintence and real nice guy

  26. ****, there goes a LOT of things. I spread myself like pretty thin on this one.

Too nice to haul parts in but it is a very sweet el camino. I had plans on doing my "too late 68" Ranchero very similar, and then when I saved a photo of this el camino last week, it just semed right.

Just because there isnt a sign on it doesnt mean sumpin aint for sale.. I never advertised my coupe but when i was offered big money for it then it was for sale. Must be the guy you got the elky from decided you were giving him enuff that he wasnt attached to it anymore.. Your both happy.
