If you're going to trailer, do it like John Force. 2 trailers for the racecar and shop. 1 personal trailer, 1 television studio/multimedia center/VIP Hospitality suite.
Bernstien goes one better and sets up a 100/100 ft tent for his VIP guests and the media.

Then there were the Surfers. 55 chevy with tools and spare parts in the trunk that doubled as tow rig and push car. If it didn't fit in that Chevy, they didn't need it. Trailer for AA/Fueler that one guy could pick up and move around...

I miss the old days. Now we have street rodders who need a motorhome to be comfortable and an enclosed trailer to haul the show display for the rod to be carefully rolled onto. Sorry folks, that ain't my thing.

I can see reasons to trailer a rod across country. Some rods just weren't made for the freeway. But for the most part, if you can't drive it I don't want it. The days of show rods with no pistons didn't impress me, and guys who won't start their cars for fear of blueing the headers don't impress me either.

I gotch y'all beat...I used to LIVE in a dang ol trailer, man! [IMG]

Had me a fake fireplace, and lotsa room for storin' car parts since I didn't own much furniture...rebuilt me a Pinto motor in the living room!

    Trailers RULE! [IMG]

(You cain't hardly drive their resale value down no lower!)

My Pinto was a trailer car...as in "built partially in a" trailer! [IMG] [IMG]

Insecure people tend to find fault in others to make themselves feel better. Predjudice takes many forms; I'm whiter than you, I'm smarter than you, I'm cooler than you, I'm richer than you, I'm driving while you're trailering your car.Who really cares? The guys with trailered cars generally are not at the swap meet, they buy all their parts brand new and, damb, am I glad. I hope they keep on trailering those *****es everywhere they go. What other people do has nothing to do with me. This post is stupid!

  7. How 'bout if I straddle the fence here. Just for grins. [IMG]
First off race cars get trailered on a regular basis. At least the ones that don't do double duty.
I don't own a trailer and never have. Guess I've never owned a real race car either, just fast streeters.
Now getting to the point of the post, there are a lot of cars at shows that should never ever be driven on the street. Some are beaters and some are ultra-zot show cars. I've seen both that I wouldn't want to be in the same county with.
If its not safe to drive and you just want to show it off than put it on a streacher. When you don't bang into my beater on the road with it I'll thank you.
On the other hand I'm big on drivers, I would rather see you building a driver even if it doesn't impress anyone, than a really ultra cool whatever.
Some cars get trailerd to remain pristeen. I guess I can understand that, I have just never owned one that was so smooth that a stone chip or a ding would ruin it.
Anyway trailer if you must. Just don't look down your nose at my driver, and don't be surprised if you are upstageing everyone at that big show and I park my beater right next to you. [IMG] [IMG]

I personally dont have a problem with trailering at all. I CAN (and do) appreicate a person driving one much more, but, I wont diss anyone for trailering one at all. At least their doing something! And, their all pleasing to look at too. Just my humble opnion.

I tend to agree with Dirk35. I would much rather see the cars driving down the road, but if you feel you have to trailer it, for safety, security, what ever to get it to the show it is better than letting it languish in some dusty garage never to be appreciated. But I still say drive it!!! (It's more fun!) [IMG] [IMG]

    Loudpedal,
You are correct....a 'misguided' post. I swear I saw your truck driving around Sunday and then loaded onto a trailer on monday. Maybe it was the sleep deprived state I was in. [IMG]

So I am apologizing right here in front of everyone for razzing you about trailering it.
Hell, I didn't drive anything this year so I don't really have any room to say anything. [IMG]

now that im rested and reflecting , im sorry for making this post , i am sorry to those that it offended, i guess maybe im just jealous , because my prioritys are so messed up, insted of sinking all my money into my hotrods, what i really wish i would have done was buy a brand new ford superduty diesel and a trailer, so i could build a ****- bucket and trailer it to all the events so i would have something to lean on and get my photo taken so i could be in the latest underground magazine!!!!!!!!

the trailer would be nessary because the car would be unsafe at any speed , cause the more scabed and unsafe it looks.... the cooler you are now!!

i am so messed up in my thinking for me its about the journey, no the destination so much, i still dont carry a lawn chair in the trunk, cause i dont hang around my car that much just waiting to tell someone all ive done to it , but if i choose to sit next to it and bs it has four tires, that make wonderful seats ,but my levis get dirty in the process but thats ok i dont live at home anymore and my mommy doesnt have to wash them...

i thought it was about cars ,driving them and going places, ejoying an old car and making people smile , maybe rumbling past a group of kids and hooking some more young blood, cause they rarely see any old hotrods driving around

i thought it was about experiencing a vintage machine, i thought when you drive some antique hotrod to bonneville and back it was so cool cause you were experiencing almost the same thing someone else was in 1948 how ****ed up is that

thanks guys ive finally seen the light **** the old cars you can drive!!!! i want a/c ,cruise , tunes, and a trailer to pull my four wheeled leaning post maybe ill buy a couple of lawn chairs too...then ill start a club we can call are selves the "****boxes" but we'll only have 3 members cause that is legally a club , the jackets will be *****in though

next time my neihbor finds that hotrod that was stored since 1949, and decides to "spruce it up" with some pink grapixs and boyd wheels....im going to tell him its KOOL!!!!!!

cause people who have opinion of any sort are GAY and i just want to blend in and not be counted as an individual

    This post is still gay.

I'm gonna start a post that says Ricers **** and see what happens.

Then maybe I'll start one about how Jimmy Shine was seen wearing a Von Dutch shirt.

Then I'll tell the story about when Germ was a cheerleader in High School. HaHa

  14. I remember there was a guy cheerleader in my high school,I though that was real strange.

I trailered my roadster to bonniville 'cause 4 of us wouldn't fit. Boy did we have fun when we got there!

I drove my Roadster to the Pileup and me and Hotrodladycrusr were real cold when we got there. We sure had fun though!

See, It's about how much fun you have with the car.

Ok Germ post another pic of those.....yea the big ones!!!!

  15. RAT RODS that are cobbled together rusty pieces of **** are pieces of **** whether or not you're trailering them to a car show or driving them "monkey ****ing a football" style or not... if the only way your old lady will go with you to a show is if you trailer your car... so be it... if it floats your boat to drive it... great.

    Sam.

I don't like people who put the toilet seat down after they use the growler. Maybe I should start a post about that. That post probably won't require "32" to put up another picture of his car though. Take a pill buddy. Again, THIS POST IS STUPID!!
