I've had a couple of guys volunteer to make some trophies for this years Rock & Race. My thought has always been that the only trophies I would have at the show would be for the race winners. I figured if you were going to get a trophy at the Rock & Race you would have to win it on the track. This year is a little different because I have had a couple of trophies donated for the car show. So now I figure what the hell lets make it into a contest. There will be a trophy for "The Best Trophy". I will make the "Best Trophy" trophy to be given to whomever makes the best, most unique trophy. If your interested in making, sponsoring & donating a trophy please contact me. The Rules #1 It must be a hand made, unique trophy. #2 Trophy can be sponsored by individual, car club or business. #3You pick the catagory. Anything you want. The weirder the better. #4 If you are attending the show you will be the one who picks the winner of your trophy, if you are not at the show I will pick the winner. #5 The winner of "The Best Trophy" trophy will be voted on by all the trophy makers in attendence at the show. If you are not attending the show & you win "The Best Trophy" it will be mailed to you. I know this is short notice. The Rock & Race is just 29 days away. Anyone interested?

The race trophies are already bought. They are Dragway 42 race trophies. The trophy contest is for the car show or for whatever you want. The more creative the better! 1st to get drunk & p*** out is a good one. Someone else mentioned "car most likley to break down on the way home", "cleanest whitewalls" or it could be just "Hellfish Pick", etc. Whatever you want.
I was actually thinking of "Slowest Car" on the track, but if the race trophies are already taken care of, I'll have to think of something else
I've got another entry for the trophy contest. Today the UPS man delivered a large HEAVY box. Inside I found a beautifully done trophy for "Rock Solid Drivetrain" done & donated by the HAMBs own "Guiseart" The detail is amazing. This trophy is carved out of a chuck of granite about 3 inches thick. Nice work Greg! Thanks.. I think this trophy contest is going to be as big of a draw as the races & car show. Anyone else interested in making a trophy?
