I was thinking about cutting the bottom part of my grille out and fitting this in there and bolting it in and making it look more at home. Think this idea is to "rat rod" or dis-tastful?
Not bad, sort of looks like mid-'50s Lincoln. Can you give us a picture with the grille in but further from the truck? May help figure out if it works.
I decided to go ahead and make the modifications , cut off bottom of grille and notched it out a bit, no turning back now, and that lawnmower is sweeet!
I like the grill idea also. I can't believe the lawn mower. It's the 2nd one I saw in a week. Never seen one before the weekend. I drove past the one in town and had to turn around and prove to the wife what I saw. I'm glad it was there otherwise I wouldn't hear the end of it.
I've been welding to much without a helmet to see the first pic. Hey, new pic looks cool. Can I buy the mowercycle at walmart?
Are you going to leave the chevrolet name on the new grill, I've seen this done before but on a 57 1/2 ton.
I'd planned to put one in my '50 Ford shoebox way back in 1985. Here is a shot of my WCK jacket that Willy Fisher air brushed for me. By the way it's a grille from a '57 chevy 2 1/2 ton truck and I had planned to take out the lettering before chroming it.
im probly going to take the chevy off definatly, but im not going to chrome it becuase i dont have the dough to have things chromed at this point, annnd becuase i think there might be use of bondo in the grilles future...
Funny, I have been looking for one of those for my '57 half ton Chevy truck.... I thought they looked *****en' especially chromed.
They always seem to pop up at random swap meets. My dad found this one in the back of our s**** guys truck
