Those of us in the UK that subscribe directly from the US have not had it yet. Many of us e mailed them and it seems that they were sent out a few weeks back. It would now appear that the complete European shipment may have gone missing! RJ told us to e mail them at the end of the month if they had still not arrived and they would send out replacements.
This post pops up everytime a new issue of TRJ is released, you can almost set your watch by it. I have no idea why anyone subscribes to that magazine...............just buy it off the newsstand.
The company that sends these out simply forgot to send the whole #35 shipment to Australia so they bundled it up with # 36, which arrived here about two weeks ago.
Got this e mail from RJ: ........................................................................................................ Dear valued TRJ subscriber, It has been brought to our attention with much regret, that some of our subscribers have not received the latest issue #36, which was originally mailed in Early June. The Rodders Journal uses a third party mailing house to send the issues to our subscribers, we do not do it directly. We have been in contact with the mailing house to see where the problem lies. They have told us that our issues have been delayed to a few different areas, which include Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Canada. This was due to an American Postal rate increase in late May, and there was a rush for various publications to mail out their magazines before the rate increase. Due to this surge, the US Postal Service experienced tremendous volume that could not be handled sufficiently, and have since delayed publications to overseas location. Not just The Rodders Journal was affected, but many publications, or so we are told. We sincerely apologize for this delay, and ask that you remain patient. I have reports that the issues are starting to arrive at our subscribers homes in various countries, so they should be there shortly. The Rodders Journal has taken steps to prevent this in the future, and have been ***ured by our mailing house that this is a one-time problem, and future issues will be delivered as they have been in the past. Again, I deeply apologize for this delay. If there is anything I can be of ***istance with, please let me know. Thank you, and Happy Rodding, Jerry The Rodders Journal
To be fair to RJ I have never had a problem before with my subscription delivery (UK based) or other items delivered by them...In fact in one case they went over and above to help me out. Sure this really is a one time glitch.
