  3. You could buy poly sway bar link bushings, the proper length 3/8" bolts and some tubing and make your own - reuse what you can off your car. Why stress out over lack of availability of simple 50+ year old parts...make your own.

My local Advance Auto Parts keeps them in stock for my '54 Chevies. They're all the same parts except the length of the bolt/sleeve. I'd get a set for a Chevy and see how similar they are.

Still looking for some help(sorry still very new at this ) ! I would like to know if anyone know the equivalent modern day part that can be use to replace sway bar link & bushings and bolt for a 1953 Pontiac . I went to 2 different stores and i was told i need a model and make and year of the modern day car because all the do is punch in the info in the computer and give you the Part . Some help they were!!! . P.s I'm from Montreal Quebec Canada, we do not have as many places (stores) as the USA for pieces for cars for those year .

Thanks for your help once again !

Those should still be available from Napa, I can't get the part # till tomarrow though. Call your local Napa, they should have an old car parts catalog for steering and suspension.

Any place that sells performance parts can sell you the bushings and end-links you need if you just measure the diameter of the bar (for the bushings) and figure out what the length of the end links should be. Just measure your current links between the bushings (the length of the sleeve) and get something close. I always replace OEM links with the performance ones anyway because the poly bushings give you noticably better handling.
