Do any of you know if there are any good junk yards in Salina, Kansas that has any old cars? Will be come down for the kustom Kemps show the end of July and just wanting to do some looking around. Thanks in advance.
Easy Jack & Sons is about 40 miles east of Salina, just off I-70. They have an unbelievable collection, but you better have deep pockets. There are a few junk yards in Salina, but none with old cars that I'm aware of.
Yeah, Thomas Park was all underwater and that's where the show is. But it will all be fine by July. They will clean it up and plant new gr*** if need be.
I've been out to Easy Jacks, some real good stuff, but definitely pricy. You better be a good negotiater.
Where exactly is Easy Jacks & Sons? Were thinking maybe stop on the way into Salina or run over while at the show.
Interesting, I was just pm'ing another HAMBer about Kansas yards. Jack's is the only one I really know of in the area. It is just off of I-70 exit #290, I believe it is, on ****ord Lake Rd. Some neat stuff there, but yes bring your dough and plenty of it if you wanna buy. 785-238-7541 Good luck, have fun bowsing, and watch out for snakes.

I know Jack's son Jamin is now running the yard. He's not the most motivated guy you'll ever meet, but where else are you going to see a collection of cars like they've got. I've found that they are real reasonable or downright makes you want to say, "you want what for it". I was told by Jack that they recently crushed out a yard in Hutchinson, KS about 2 years ago. He said there WAS plenty of older stuff in that one. </TD></TR><TR UNSELECTABLE="on" hb_tag="1"><TD style="FONT-SIZE: 1pt" height=1 UNSELECTABLE="on"> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
