Hey Ed, I'm new on the HAMB too. I'm also from the days when old school was the only school. Before polygl*** tires (let alone radials to me, teh on;y good radial is on a B-17 and there's 4 of em...on the wings!)

Nice carb farm you got there.

When I'm done with my little limey hot rod I want to do a truck. be sure to post some shots of your progress.

Yes, I know I may catch some "flack" on my IFS. I don't claim my ride to be a traditional hot rod. I am building the thing to drive and comfort. Some 'Old School' built into it. I have put a lot work into making it the way I want it. Stretched the doors 4 1/2" plus stretched the cab another 4", made the doors flush fit, made the cowl removable so I can get to the brake and clutch resivors. Installed vent windows from a 55 Chevy, lowered the roof 2" to match the vent window, but was able to keep the stock front and back windows to their stock height. Was able to install bear-claw door latches for saftey. A 1947 Plymouth dashboard because I liked the looks of it. A 261 Chevy straight six, with a small cam, 3 Stromberg singles, and a 54 Corvette exhaust manifold, with a 4 speed saganaw trans. This is a 'garage-build' on my third year. Do I dare say bucket seats with plans to install A/C and a GPS??? My goal is to take trips in this puppy.

Cool truck Ed, drop axles are traditional and this truck has 13,000 miles of comfort on a drop axle.

roylshifter ~ Nice looking truck, very nice clean looking body, and a great picture. Looks like maybe a 2" chop on the top????? What's the bumpers off of ? I need a rear bumper and it looks like your back one matches your front one. (looking to steal an idea here, maybe?)
Man, you list 16 cars on your profile. That's a hell of a lot of cars.
I can hardly afford the one I'm building, but I will get there.
    Again, NICE truck.
