I was browsing the net after a new car and came across a stock 1953 mercury. It is a more door but it seems to be in very good condition. I was sort of going to use it as a daily driver during the summer. So please show me some pics if you have got them. Thanks.
I think four doorr Mercs are cool...52-54 as well. Nobody agrees and that will be a problem if you ever dump bread into the car.
Are you kidding me! any old Merc is very cool, besides if you like it that's what matters, they aren't going to drive it. Don't worry about everybody else, as long as you enjoy it. You will see, people will ask what year it is and how long have you had it. Also the big one is when you are driving down a freeway and you get that thumbs up. Take care, Rags
They are, but be sure to see the car in person first. They have a lot of diecast parts on them and are a ***** to replate correctly if too corroded. My buddy has had one since high school and has been fully gone thruogh by us. It is a very cool ride and as others have mentioned, if you think it's cool that's all that matters.

It's not a Merc, but I just got a '51 Buick 4-door that I enjoy the heck out of driving around.....it can be as "cool" as you want it to be.
If its old and you are drivin it then hell yeah its cool! I wouldnt pay stupid money just because its in a show room though If you could of had a chop top 50 for what you paid then that aint cool.

I just sold my 53 Merc to a buddy, also a HAMB member. look for some cool updates from him sometime soon. I know he's got big plans. I miss her already.

It's a 50's Mercury, of course it's going to be cool. I bet you'll be the only one on the block with one. If it was an 80's Mercury Topaz....that's a different story.
If a bear ****s in the woods, does it make a sound? Of course! any beat up, rusty, ugly, 4 door, 50's car is still cooler than 90% of the cars on the road anyway... here's my buddy Iz's merc.
I think so. To me, mine was cool when I drove it to high school 20 years ago and it is today. Gonna finish it off by lowering it a little and putting the skirts back on. Don't worry about what others think. Be your own person and set your own style.
Is this a trick question? My favorites are the 52-53 mercurys. I've got a more door 54 ford and as soon as I get a few other things done I want to put a mercury front clip on it. If the price is reasonable for a four door, BUY IT. COOL CARS....HELL YES.
I guess it depends on the definition of cool in your area. Where I'm from, if it goes really fast and looks good doin it then its cool. Otherwise, if your just building or buying it to please someone, else do us all a favor and don't. Leave it for the people that are into the hobby for the right reasons. Its about the cars, not popular demand.
