If it were a '54 and didn't have the quad lights, it would be pretty much identical to Nads's.

I dig the car, but not the lamp post. Olive Oil had better curves.

I wish, thanks for the compliments but mine don't hold a candle to this car, it is absolutely perfect. I saved all the pictures, does it still exist?

Wow, absolutely beautiful. Looking at the different pictures and paint schemesmade me laugh, I have a friend who bought an old show car that was owned by a local bodyman back in the day. Anyway I helped him strip the car for paint and there were 9 different colors. I guess each show season got a neww look.

Makes me realize how much pancaking the trunk helps when chopping these cars.

I think it would benefit from the exhaust treatment that you did on your car, Nads.

  17. You're right...I had to look at the other pics to make sure 'cause in this one it's really hard to see the crown of the decklid.

The trunk's not pancaked but it is sectioned, looks bitching, I wish I would done it to mine, and canted quads, I love this car.

  21. Man this is what the HAMB is about! I LOVE that car and I usually really do not like the late 50's, eary 60's "show car" style. What really stands out to me is the lowering job, that car is NOT very low and it looks great. Thanks to everyone who put all the pics up on this one, and I'm with Nads on the mag wheels with skinny whites, it just looks bad ass with that set up. Great to see its still around too......

  22. Can anyone enlighten me on the stainless behind the reaer wheel opening? Looks like the car has the stock rear stone guards, but the stuff running behind the rear wheel opening looks like it has matching flutes in it and I don't think I/ve ever seen that before. I'd love to do that to my 52! Man the more I look at this thing, the more I love it, hmmmm I need this car in one half of the garage & the Larry Ernst Chevy in the other & I'd be a happy man....

In between Cort and Terry, my buddy Bruce Metcalf owned it (in the 60's). The interior in it today is the one Bruce had installed. Many people have tried to buy it from Terry, but apparently he's keeping it.

Here are some shots of UNKL Bill DeWitt's (of Hollister, Ca.) '51 Chevy. This car was his high school car back in the '50's and some of the customizing (tail lights, head lights, bumpers) was done then.
In the early 1990's he had Henry Dias (Morgan Hill, Ca.) start to rebuilt it and things did not work out (some of you might know that story) and I'm not sure who finished building it. The car sets on a Corvette chassis so I guess it's more of a contemporary custom now a days.

That car is truly bad ass. From the pic Brian posted, the chop flows so well with the decklid, then finish it with those tailights, cool!
