Was watching ESPN dragracing and heard about this. Just thought I would post it.

i grew up in mt clemens, douggie sr had his boat next door to my fathers custom shop in harrison twp, he was an accomplished sailor as well as a "behind the scenes " dad, he was there with doug jr before he was a drag racer and he was rookie of the year sprint car driver, doug sr had accomplished the famed mackinaw regatta on his old sailboat with crew, and he did have the unmistakable yea yea yea responce and he also had the best laugh "yuck yuck yuck" he is dearly missed by myself and many in the community, he was a down to earth great man, now he is up there with my dad who lost his life to the same battle with cancer. dc
