This is my 28 Ford I have been putting together the past year. Goal is Roundup 08. Still plenty of work to do. Haven't decided for certain on the color yet. Can't wait to get the right wheels and tires on it. I plan to have wood floors made from red cedar planks with stainless or aluminum trim between each plank. I incorporated a lot of personal elements into the build such as metal salvaged from things my Dad and Granddad had. Enjoy.

you might want to throw a coat of wax on it. The paint looks a little faded.

Yes, that Capri is my daily driver and my first car. Its a 72 2600 GT. All US models had quad headlights. That was the best that came to the US. You got all the cool models across the pond. I also have a 71 2000. I've had several Capri's and been playing with them for the past 20 years but I've been too sentimental to part with this one.

That is an EFI intake from an 88ish - 90's Ford F150 302. The upper portion has had the curved portion cut off. I plan to build a box with aluminum and weld to that opper portion and adapt these Holley 94's in a staggered configuration. I built a cardboard mock up. Now I just need to go buy the metal and make it happen. I want the top plate to be removable so I could experiment with various carb footprints. The aluminum stacks are drink tumblers I picked up in an antique shop on Congress for $10. They are going to polish up nice and they have an unusual hammered texture. The front grill is still undecided. I have some ideas but the plan is to make all of the front sheet metal easily removable so I can change it when I feel like it to go for a different look. Some tractor grills come to mind, but not the usual Farmall.

    Here is a "before"

Yes it is. I was told it was called an "aimes" or at least that's how I heard it pronounced. If someone can tell me the correct name and spelling, I'd appreciate it. I especially bought this one with the bullet hole in the knob. Looks like a 38 hole, but oddly there is no exit.

That is a GM truck muffler from a full size late model Sub, Tahoe,C1500 etc. Muffler shops throw these away all the time as people upgrade to a performance muffler. I cut the end out and I am gutting anything that will get in the way. Internal baffles already in place. I need to weld a filler on top, mount a sender, and a drain and weld the end back on. I plan to mount it on pedestals and strapped down with leather belts. My calculations of the dimensions come to about 9.97 gallons of fuel.

I am running a Ford SMOD 4 spd behind a non-roller 302. They aren't as strong as the top loaders. I picked it up cheap with the bell, flywheel, etc. I just can't afford a true top loader right now, so this will get me down the road till I can afford one. They are all aluminum too which makes it a bit lighter. Probably be fine until I want to try it at the strip.

Unless I find a set of 40 rims in my budget, I am going with a set of 60 Ford truck rims that are 15" but still take the little caps. Those are just rollers in the pictures.
