When digging trough some old forgotten pictures the other day I found these, taken in the early 80-s. I resqued this 1956 Olds 98 4-door from the crusher in 1975, main reason because it was almost rustfree and complete and because it had the coolest and nicest instrument cluster that I had ever seen (and I still think so). In 1978 a friend of mine bought it as I needed money for another project. Well he worked on it real hard for some years, shopped the top a good two inches and converted it to a 2-door. The result was a real cool car and everything was professionally done, the old rocket engine and transmission was rebuilt and I know that he got the car in primer, even remember him driving it one time. AND IT HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVEN SINCE 1983!! I know it's sitting in storage somewhere around here. Unfortunatly I don't have any good pics of it but I'll try to scan in the two I have. I don't know if he's visiting this site but......don't you think he needs a push in the right direction?
Cool car, I just rescued this 57 Olds Feista Wagon from the crusher. He should definitely get it going, that's what cars are for - driving.
Always liked the Olds fiftysevens (and the Buicks), purchased a1957 88 2 door ht in New Jersey some weeks ago, coming to Sweden soon. And the dash is ALMOST as cool as the 56'
On the street again! after sitting 25 years. Pictures are taken at a meeting in Strömstad Sweden last weekend.
