    Well I'm back in Texas.
But not with out out alot of help ( Donations, helping hands ) From fellow HAMBers and Hot Rodders.
Thanks: Boys from the Vultures and Gordini's garage ( Flesh Gordon ) swell fellas and all around nice guys
The Boys north of the 49, Jay , Camron and Tyler for taking me to the salvage yard and getting the rear end ( Also helping put it back together )
All the people who helped lifting the car and the many donations who I don't remember ( or even got )your names
50 Ford and his financial backer for the offer to come pick me up and a ride home.
Flt-Blk for getting the word out.
The people I drove there with, Jeff, Janet, Nathan and Lacy for fronting me money and the many trips to the drive shaft shop and sticking by me.
Dan's driveLine for the expensive but speedy drive shaft.
Nevada Transmission for staying open late and cutting a cash deal for my new tranny. ( which dosen't leak a drop )
All Hot Rodders and HAMBers who called offering support ( cash or information )
    Last but not least......
The Kings of Nothin, Joe Marro for use of the drive way, a cherry picker and the tools, supplies. This guy is awsome stayed up all night helping me get my shit together. At first I thought it was kinda sketchy...Destroy my car and a drunk guy comes riding up on a schwin with his ass hanging out and says if I need anything call him.( At second thought if we were in Texas it could've been me on the bicycle )

For the record.. I'm sure my problems started in New Mexico where I hit a patch of construction and shered a weight off my drive shaft. Of course I didn't relize that ( shaft didn't vibrate at high speeds )till I slowed down in traffic. All of a sudden the car started to vibrate like a space shuttle during re-entry but at 2500 rpm in 3rd gear it would smooth out. So no problem right just drive fast ( OK ) Finally get to Vegas and start and looking for the obvious there it is the weight, so I pull it and take it to Dan's 150 bucks later I have a new yoke and a balanced drive shaft.. Late Sat night I decide to do what I'm good at and pull to the far side of the parking lot and start to pull some RPM and Ka-Boom all hell breaks loose ( stomach sinks ) look under car and there is a oil fall and my drive shaft is laying there. back it up to a parking spot and I'm looking at the drive shaft and the pinion gear ? Seemed to have torn it from the pumpkin [IMG] picked it up, set it on stands and proceded to check it out. Pumpkin crap , Drive shaft crap, Axles OK [IMG]. After recieving help for those noted above we pushed my car back to its resting spot.
Sunday drove to salvage yard and got rearend for $150 Drum to Drum ( thought ahead and took measurements bought a housing that will fit my roadster ) With help from Canadians , and parts from Flesh Gordon got rear end put back together. Now I though I was only weighting for drive shaft had fun rest of day. Monday work up went back to Dan's with bent driveshaft, Replaced drive shaft for $250 dollars go back to Gold Coast and instal in car.....But I don't go any where [IMG] start looking around and see crack from one side of the bell housing to the other [IMG] At this point the car is for sale! After calming down I find transimssion and go get it. 2 hours later tow truck shows up and I'm off to Joe's house Pulled engine and tranny there ( sorry about the mess ) Reinstalled filled drove 5 blocks down the street and back. Then said goodbys to new friends and 2 in the morning started back to Texas. Luckly the rest of the trip was uneventful. w/ the new gears I even got killer gas milage.

The best part of the whole trip was finding help from all these people I didn't know just comming from no where.
Also the fact that my girlfriend/////// New fiance ( Proposed at the Hoover Dam )stood buy me all weekend and diddn't complain once.. God I love that girl

    Sorry if I forgot anyone

What are the new gears? If they are too high, you just might have to relinquish the throne of Burnout King.
Congrats on the engagement. That's a cool place to propose.
I was half expecting a call on your way through, figured you guys would need a break from the road.

Well, I wish I could have been there to lend a hand, but it sounds like you had it covered. It's awesome when people offer assistance out of the kindness of their own hearts.

And it's about damn time you pop the question...she's a hell of a woman. Congrats on the engagement and making it home with stories to tell.

You crazy fuck, I didn't know you had even broken down, I saw you guys pushing the Chevy down the ramp Monday. I can't believe I asked you if you had a six in that car, God what a dope I am!
I knew Joe from when he lived in Orlando, he's a good guy, I was gonna suggest calling him but I didn't have his number.
I've been on many disastrous trips and it's no fun.
It was great meeting you and I'm glad you're home even if your wallet's feeling some pain.

PS, I tried to kill my girlfriend three times in motorcycle wrecks but she married me anyway.

    glad your back holmie.

  25. Thank you again to everyone who helped, called, offered money and gave money!! it really soften the blow..
Personally i loved watching the guys become a human jack Saturday night... you guys were a big help, and very nice... as i walked out to the parking lot to say hi.. to only find the car in the air and the lot cover in car juice.....

we would love to see the video.. and i would like to see what "really" happen...... lol

i'm up for having the wedding at the drags.. we can just race down to strip instead of walking... may scare off the priest so one of you may have to stand at the end hoping we stop in time!! (you may want to stand on Tyler's side instead of mine....... there's a reason no one has ever seen me drive....

hopefully we will see you all soon..
    thank you again..
    Christa

    glad you made it home!

I don't know you and you don't know me but I was trying to keep tabs on how you were making out after your little altercation, appears you made it back and latched onto a little treasure on the way home so it all worked out for the best!

Well.. Christa did the right thing...it was either Greyhound or the car and the way Outlaw drives, he would still have the bus beat.
