I know this has been covered before but I'm not seeming to find it. I've got a Horne 4x2 intake manifold for a rocket. I was told it's for a 303 but the other ones I've seen said they were for the 371? How do I tell the difference? I don't have any olds engines right now.

Beside being slightly wider to accomodate the taller deck height, a 371 intake would have cosiderably larger ports than one intended for a 303. I can get measurements later.

my understanding is Horne sold to Cragar in the early '50s
that would rule out the 371

If this goes unanswered until 7PM EST, shoot me a PM and I'll measure one of my spares for the 371. I work til then...

That was my understanding too about Cragar but when I saw that one on Ebay a week ago, the guy swore it was for a 371 and wouldn't fit a 303 so know I'm befuddled. I guess I do need measurements if ya'll can help.

The horne is for early stuff, find a set of 56' heads, they flow the best from my research. But for a 371, nope.won't work. I'm gonna have an almost complete 371 up for grabs soon. Plus already got 2 J2 intakes up. Good luck
