...funny thing is, when everyone jumped on the "g***er" bandwagon why didn't they do it right? Why not alter the wheelbase, show some mechanical/bodywork skills and actually move the center of gravity and downforce... which is what g***ers did in the first place?

...anybody can raise the front of a car up and put steel wheels/slicks on the back and a chromie/street tire up front... even me. I could probably even find some fenderwell headers somewhere and make it real convincing, heh.

In reality MOST of the cars out there guys are calling "G***ER'S" are nuthing more than a Late 60s~70s street racer.

When i was a kid in the early 70s, My unkle and all his buddys had cars like this .... Only a few had a straight axle, Most had stock front suspensions with EELCO or CAL CUSTOM front end lift kits.

VERY VERY if any guys actually had an altered wheel base car on the street.

 

I do believe I have a new signature. Thanks, timebomb. That's a keeper.

Ha ha ha, That's the response I expected, What do yo do to a Merc that hasen't been done before, go up!. Who cares if it's not the car of choice to race -it's a tank!!! and all the stuff we modified can easily be undone when we want to do something else to it. But for now we'll keep driving it around, and every so often some guy that can't see that were having fun will flip us the bird, to them I say "whatever"
