vintage roadrunner emblem??????????????

ok so was watching the tales of the ratfink dvd and saw on the side of two rods a small emblem that resembled a sort of roadrunner?
i also have this on a small model i have of a salt flat racer anyone got any idea what i means? or anyone got a good clear pic of it as i have an idea for my lakester.

 

I think I know the one you're talking about--it was Nicholas Cage's tattoo in Raising Arizona (love that movie). Here's a little info, although the logo shown on this page is slightly different from what I recall:

Maybe it was the Thrush Exhaust logo they reference (similar except no cigar in its mouth)

You're talking about the squigly line drawing.
If I'm not mistaken that is from the 'road Runners" club.
I could not find a picture in my computer.
Early 40's car right?
Did Vic edelbrocks car have that on it?

The Roadrunners are very much an active club, still running at the lakes and breaking records. I don't know how happy they would be with someone running their logo on a non-club car.

You're really not giving people much credit, plenty of people in England will recognise the Roadrunners logo instantly and know you're not a member. Just because you were unaware of it's significance doesn't mean others will be.
