I am at the point of working on the roof of the lil "A"ttitude and am not quite sure what I want to do I was thinking of a stock looking A roof that is removable. I really like the thought of letting the sun in but also want to drive the car in the rain. Please show me your pictures.
I second that request. I'm thinking the same thing for my '29 tudor sedan. Maybe not the whole roof but maybe front section? Not sure.
I'll be doing one on my A sedan. Vinyl that snaps on like the one over a pickup truck bed. The lead edge over the windshield header will be fully sealed and the vinyl slides into that. the rest is snaps. hope it will keep the rain out....
maybe something like whats on these http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=192228 just a thought....
I want the same for my '34 Chevy sedan. Something that's fairly simple to put on and remove that's also easy to store inside the car.
Not quite what your looking for, but here is what I did on mine. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100851
well what I really want is a stock looking roof that i can remove. Can anyone show/ explain to me how a stock insert is replaced? then maybe I can modify it from there?
If your looking for a fold back sun roof!!! Look at the 58-67 VW bus for a 2 door long roof or for a coupe you can get one from a 56-63 VW bug buy the roof and take all the stuff you need Dave
My vision should you decide to accept it... A coupe /tudoor would have a wood visor/header that is mounted with a hood pin set up and tool box clamps..fabric of choice canvas-oiled leather ...sewn to shape and then the rest snaps on rearward the idea ..the visor is moot with the top out anyway ...so once unsnapped the rest rolls up.. unclamps under the visor pull forward off the pins and store away ... having some cross bracing original wood work helps hold up the fabric.. and inserting a padding into a doubled fabric would be good too storage think buckled on the rear bumper /deck like a cowboys blanket on a horse
