This is outside the scope of the HAMB, but I know there are a lot of closet road racers on here, and this is certainly a beautifully assembled hot rod. I think this thing just looks like as much fun as you can have with your pants on. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=230144563907&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=013
That's the paint scheme I'm doing my '67 with ( Hell what else can I do with a POS '67 coupe) Thanks for the link.
i'll admit it, i am a mustang guy as well, i have a 70 thats getting the full treatment soon, that car is tits matt
Very cool car. Love just about any trans am car. More partial to Jerry's Firebird days/cars but would be a fun daily none the less......
Here is my "other" car....347 stroker Tremec 5speed,etc.....Best sounding car i've ever had, bar none
Nice! My first car was a '65 notchback I got in '74 with a seized 289. I added a junkyard engine, 4 barrel, headers, Konis, GT350 springs, Gt350 steering arms and front sway bar, an adjustable rear sway bar off of a local AS racer, lowered, homemade ugly-ass fender flares (5 lb sledge, hacksaw, fiberglass, bondo) and G60 BFG T/As on widened steel rims. Used to run around on road near my house called Mulholland. Got a pic of it someplace..... but don't hold your breath. Kurt O.
maybe a dumb question, but why no cooling fan on that radiator? seems purty risky to me.... one of my o/t cars.... currently getting a mini facelift and a little suspension upgrade, 7 years of beating it hasn't been the best idea, but it's fun!
I like the fastbacks better, but other than that it looks like a bad ass car , I bet its super fun to race around. It looks like they did a hell of a lot work on it.
What a nicely prepared car, I love to see that kind of detail put in to a project. Thanks for sharing. CBB I wonder what the reserve was?
Cool pony, reminds me of one of those Terlingua race cars from down in Tejas I'm another O/T fan of the early Mustangs; I've got a '66 fastback w/ a 200" six. It bugs the heck out of the "when are ya gunna put a V8 innit?" guys. Later,
This is a good site for this OT matter. http://www.ponysite.de/news_11.htm Check out all the pages (listed at the bottom)
Is there something about putting "OT" in the title that makes a thread exempt from being related to "Spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to greasers world wide..."?
I guess Ill put up some pics up of a stang I just sold after 15 years...1966 Shelby, I really didnt want to sell it but It paid off 2 mortgages, driving to cruise nite in a 200,000 car doesnt make sense when you got bills up the ass . So now ii got a 56 chevy gasser, but I do miss the Shelby. Mr. Dick
No, it's a violation of that stated purpose, and I'm probably among the most frequent violators. My excuse is that I think the OT stuff I post is likely to be of interest to a large portion of the Trad community. If I'm skating on excessively thin ice, I presume that Ryan will scold me.
i know most won't agree here, but that mustang that started this thread is about as traditional as it gets for me. 3 or 4 years too new for acceptance and I understand drawing the line so that the site stays focused on what it's here for, but damn if that isn't just a bad ass tribute to how things used to be.
