The reliability run is coming up. ***** PLEASE RESPOND HERE OR PM ME IF YOU'RE GONNA ATTEND. Include how far you can go on a tank of gas if it's less than 200 miles; and if you need 93 octane gas. We'll be stoppin' around noon for lunch and I need to know how many people will need to be fed. The current plan is to stop at a small town mom/pop cafe. Depending on the number of participants we may do something different, though. I have the route planned out and it will be pretty scenic. Mostly farm-to-market roads. Traffic should be nearly non-existant. PM me if you have any questions. ***** Also I HAVE to know how many people will be bringing sleeping bags and camping in my shop. And if you have a friend that you think is going please mention this thread to him/her. See ya soon; be ready for a full day of cruizin' backstreet america. Thanx for your time. Now back to your regularly scheduled program... EDIT: there will be no registration fee. however, there will be a couple of donation hats at the end. one for charity (St. Jude's Childrens Hospital) and one to go towards my expenses. neither is mandatory or even expected; just available should you wish to contribute. the St. Jude's thing is just 'cause i've got a soft spot for kids. if'n ya got a CB radio you can throw in your ride for the day please do so. i'd like to be able to communicate some during the run.
Kingdom City motels (all phone numbers are area code 573): RED CARPET INN; 642-6607; mom-pop cheapie; I looked at a room though and I would stay there if Sherry weren't with me. She's more picky than I am about hotel/motel rooms. I figure if it's clean and has a bed and a shower I'm good to go. She's more into a refined hotel lifestyle. COMFORT INN; 642-7745; prolly nice enough; run by folks who speak Indian or ****stani or something else I can't understand. I'm sorry, but I haven't been too satisfied staying at places where they speak like that. SUPER 8; 642-2888; what can I say? Aren't these all identical? DAYS INN; 642-0050; see comment at Super 8. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WILDLIFE LODGE & CAFE; 474-9453; B&B about a mile from my house and 10 miles from Kingdom City. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fulton, Missouri is just 6 miles south of Kingdom City right on US-54; Columbia is 20 miles west of Kingdom City on I-70. There are lots of motels in both of those towns. All the way from super cheap to high zoot luxury.

Hell, I have gone through 20 gal just setting the carbs. One good thing about that is there is no more gas for the lawn mower. I need to buy a goat, let it keep the gr*** cut, train him to run off people I don't like and then BBQ his *** in the fall. Keith If you Kropdusters need a place to crash let me know. I have plenty of room.

I'll be there Mike. And if anyone needs a place to crash let me know. Keith get that rod out and play with it....ummm well you know what I mean. 2x4's dont use that much gas.
one last bttt for any late weekend folks. i'll not bump this again. i suppose that anyone who wants to go has already seen this and the rest of you are getting tired of seeing it.
Mike, I am planning on being at Kingdom City by 8:30 or sooner in my 37 Chevrolet 2 door (or as some people call it - the bucket of rust) My friend is also coming either in his 46 Chevy pickup or his 55 Chevy wagon. There will probably be 4 or 5 of us. Excited about it - sounds like a great idea and lots of fun! Brian (1937chev)

37, welcome to the hamb and i'm looking forward to meeting you and your friends. well, folks, i drove the route today to make sure that there wasn't any road construction or other problems. glad i did. most of the roads are farm to market roads that don't have mileage shown on maps. it turned out to be 380 miles. tomorrow afternoon i'll have to get hte maps out and cut about 150 miles out. i was planning to make the route about 200 - 250 miles. 380 is just too far in summer heat driving clarence. not that i mind to put that many miles on it in a day. we usually put 700 - 800 per day going to bonneville, but on these roads about 40 mph average is about what we'll be able to do. add lunch and potty stops and you're up to a pretty long day at 250 miles. i'll have the route revised and ready to go at 8:30 saturday morning. NOTE:

NOTE: please be ready to LEAVE kingdom city at 8:30. g***ed up and belly fed.
Mike, I got my 2 x 4 problems solved. If I can work out a few more bugs the wife and I will be makeing the cruise with you. If not we still plan on meeting everyone at Kingdom City for breakfast. Keith
see y'all saturday morning!!! i know, this is repeating myself, but: please be ready to LEAVE kingdom city at 8:30. g***ed up and belly fed.
three of us coming from kansas city on bikes and think my brother is coming on his bike from n.e. mo. i can only go about 120 miles before switching to reserve. have never pushed that, but could probably go at least another 20 on that. later, bud
wheres abouts in nemo is your bro from??? mike im tryin like hell to make it...but itll just be for friday if i can! waiting on a check for some parts i sold and then tryin to find a sitter for the kiddies...after that.....smooth sailing!
hey breeder, he's from clarence. not sure he's coming, as we originally were going to skip sturgis this year and ride to the "tail of the dragon" in n.c./eastern tenn. but, i've got a bad back and had to cancel. just hope i can do this saturday. we both have been into old hot rods and custom cars all our life,(i'm 62, he's 69) but got back into motorcycling a few years ago and really enjoying that now. nice to see an event where both are welcome. later, bud
rocket when you do the tail of the dragon be sure to finish the day on the cherohola skyway. if you do the tail north to south you are within 10-15 miles of the east end of the skyway. (imo) the skyway is better than the tail. see ya saturday. one more time: please be ready to LEAVE kingdom city at 8:30. g***ed up and belly fed.
