I work towards this truck for the better part of ten years, countless bloodied, smashed and burned body parts and I don't even want to know what I spent and here's the new owner. First car, not even 16 (so keep your comments to yourself!) and her Dad (who must be the "coolest Dad in the world") parked it in their driveway for her to find this morning. Last week they came to check it out and she was stoked. Her Dad calls me a bit ago and said she was giddy like, well, like a school girl. Her Dad actually IS cool, he has a '32 HiBoy and now a super righteous hotrod driveway to be sure! Hey, the new owner's a lot cuter than the old one!
damn Jeem. i love that truck. hope she takes good care of it... and, since you asked nice, i'll keep my perverted comments to me-self. LOL so whats next on da choppin block??? aint you got a model A roadster or some such thing in da works???
Thats cool JEEM Pass-en the torch! I picked up a 64 Chevy 4 door to get running and flip....well a friends son saw it and fell in love....I'm selling it to him for what I have in it...so much for making some $.....but I'm pass-en the torch!!
Guess that means the transaction went smooth. Congrats to you and the new owner. That is a cool as ride for a 16yr old. What state did it go to
Just to the other side of the blazing hot "Valley of the Sun". Long story with the Ebay but it all worked out for the best!
I've sold 2 cars that went to young people that I wish I hadn't. first was a 66 nova that had only 80K with original paint. guy bought it for his daughter who was going to San Francisco state. probably got stolen or run into.... S.F. is not a friendly place for old cars. sold my 49 chevy 4 door to a guy for his kid because the 65 mustang he had was too fast. guess the fact that it was a 4 door cancelled out the 350 under the hood as far as power went. kid came with him when he looked at it and did not say a word. didn't look inside. didn't check out the motor when I opened the hood. seemed totally disinterested. dad should have bought him a Geo metro. glad to hear you new owner was giddy like a school girl. looks pretty happy to have it.
he probably just bought it for her so she wouldn't ask to take the 32 all the time. It looks tailor-made for her.. how'd that happen??.. Jeem, I think you're really a 16yo girl deep down.. embrace it man. I mean, you like to color and stuff right?
Jeem, I think you're really a 16yo girl deep down.. embrace it man. [/QUOTE] Ha...I knew it! Jeem is a hottie. Aw..see...there really is a...."happily ever after" ending! Looks like a true hotrod family to me! Jimmy.....I think ya left the Ole girl in good hands.......
Very Cool! Hopefully she will respect how to drive it and won't try to "stab and steer" like most teenage girls I see. If I were her Dad, I would be driving that fact home HARD before she ran up someones ass or worse. Most of us grew up driving vehicles with no power anything and certainly no antilock brakes or airbags. It is a little different for todays young ones unless someone tries to impart some wisdom and the kid decides it is worth listening. She will definitely look cool tooling down the road in that though, no doubt!!!
Jimmy, that is such a bitchen truck, and to have seen if morph into what it is now is like that scene from Swinger's with Vince Vaughn yelling "My babies all growed up now!" That truck is forever tattoed intio my mind for the econoline bezels. Damn I love that look, and I don't like Fords...... Looks like that thing went to a good home, now if her boyfriend don't wreck it.
yep, cool her dad is a car guy. My wife's dad took the time to teach her how to "maintain" her car when she was growing up.......made a big difference in how she treats cars, but also in her character. Hopefully he'll teach her how to maintain the truck properly and doesn't just do everything for her. I'm sure you're sad to see it go, but damn man....that new one is gonna be IT!
Not to often do you get a 16 year old girl that gets it. Happy to see it go to someone that will take care of it as you did. Sweet truck and Bad Ass Girl.
I always liked that truck..... My oldest kid is 17...seems like all the girls at his school look as good as that young lady....damn I was born about 25 years too early!
Yeah, she definitely seems to get it. Her Dad will help her with the truck and I'm sure she'll learn plenty from it. They are keeping it pretty much as-is but I believe they'll add AC, can't blame 'em. I can't even wrap my mind around a cutie like that driving a truck like that to school. Girls will hate and the boys will be in awe. Daddy has a shot gun....
