What was the first year for the Chevrolet Bel Air two door hardtop? I'm thinking it was 1950.

What it is, the Ol'man is looking at one and he's wanting to know some things about them. Also, did they have a hardtop with a short trunk?

I think it was 51-52, maybe even later.

First year is 1950, but I have seen a picture of a 49 in a showroom. The trunks on the hardtops and convertibles is the same, but shorter than any other model as far as I know.
