Of course now that we're married, and I finally have the 53 drivable
we're off to tour Europe for 5 weeks or so. Leaving on Wednesday. Gonna miss my car...

So what's happening in Europe? Our first week in the UK is pretty well planned out. After that we land in Croatia. After that it's anybody's guess. We'll be touring around and flying where ever's cheap. Figure this'll be about the only chance I get to meet European Hambers on their own turf. Any events I should know about?

Hey slow, I don't know of any shows but while your traveling, check into Ryan Air for cheap flights. You can usaually fly all over Europe for like $100 round trip. Usually cheaper than trains. Have fun when your over here! Check out Switzerland if you can and I here Budapest is awesome as well.

Check your plans against the Tour De France route. Everywhere the Tour is, it's gonna be BUSY. Like freakin' Super Bowl Sunday that lasts all month. Unless you'd like to be surrounded my genteel Francophiles in elastic britches....

Hot Rod Supernationals are in the UK last weekend of July. Not sure if that fits in with your plans or not? Also worth visiting the Ace Cafe London on the first Wednesday in the month...Early evening start...Executioners Hot rod night.

  11. Hey Slow64 my wife and I will be at the Hayride, we are heading over on the 27th of July but will be staying in the UK visiting family & friends the whole time. From what I've seen & heard you really should get to the A-bombers gig, I'll be jealous, cause I REALLY want to go, oh well. The Hayride should be *****en, the Executioners are only slightly crazy (in a good way) so it will be a good time. Oh yeah and Ryan AIr is your friend!

Leaving Slovenia for Munich in a couple of hours. Open-ish schedule at this point. Let me know!

  14. I'm in Paris on Tuesday until Friday. I can give you advice on good hotels, Bars and restaurants.

Shame you aren't here until mid-September as the Circuit des Ramaparts in Angouleme (vintage Bugattis racing around an old walled city in Cognac country) is well worth a visit
