My wife's great uncle Buck and other family members have a lot of cars on their property. Some of these belong to his oldest daughter and her husband who live in the second house on the property. The camera died so I didn't get pics of the cars I really liked, but these you'll like.
I was gonna go with a John Candy reference, too. "Do you know what a hatchet is, Bug?" "Kinda like a small Axe?" "Exactly..."
The one to get is the yellow one in the third picture. Well, the black '64 is in a lot better shape. But they'd probably notice it was missing, sooner.
The one with the back up in the air and the doors off? Just been sitting there stuck behind the Chevy truck. The convertible is pretty cut up, the windshield frame is the best part of the body. Yes, some of this stuff can be had, but he is an stubborn old man and hard to deal with.
Looks like some good styff like parts and whole cars, thanks for the view it was refreshing. Oh, by the way John Candy was one of my heroes in "Planes Trains and Automobiles" . Thanks for the memories, Rags
Redding, CA? I have relatives up there. As a matter of fact, I broke my leg in Redding. Ha! That would make a great Tshirt.
And my wife has family in Detroit, her dad was born there. But Uncle buck is on her mom's side. The Impala is Rosie's, doubt we can talk her out of it.
Heh...my wife always teases me about my brown, smoking, '76 Mercury Marquis... The driver's seat does have a big sag to it... Hmm...could it be???...
