I'm gonna try to make a decent pass this year. Last year was pretty disappointing with all the bugs that suddenly popped up.

I have some Hurst slicks on some chrome reverse wheels to stick on the Model A now, and hopefully my water pump will keep from spewing this time. Still gotta add a catch can somewhere.

I hope I don't jinx myself for thinking outloud here, but I have a feeling it'll dip into the 12's if I can get a good pass in. It ran a 14.0 with a squirrelly sideways/pedalling launch and short shifting through the rest of the quarter on the only full pass I got in last year, so I know it should do 13's easily.

There should be a class for cars with Stromberg carbs only! None of that new school 4 barrel shit! haha :)

At 145-150, I'd rather have it and not need it than the other way around! Supposing that it doesn't rain every day for the rest of our lives, when's the first time you plan on taking it out?

875 on motor is damn impressive. I just hope to get close to that with a big dose of laughing gas. Of course, I'm still pretending like mine is gonna be streetable.

    Well shit.

Goodguys in Fort Worth is the same weekend...Oct. 5-7. We were planning on taking the Chevy I'm building there, so that may keep me from going to the drags...although I definitely prefer the drags. Maybe I can do both.

Last year you guys did the drags the week after Goodguys...I wish you could have done the same this year. :(

Only so many days available to get the track. Plus, doing it the same weekend as Goodguys keeps it small.

I hope you can make it, but if you're scared I understand.

Yeah, thats why I did it .. Oh it will make more than 875 :D
We just did not push it much past .. It had more left in it
    Plenty enough for me

    No shit on rain ..

We are buttoning up some basic stuff
monkeying around with coil overs, suspension
ride height's ..got to scale it , etc

One thing leads to another at this point

We are going over it over it ..so we don't look like tards at the
    track 1st time ..
Interior is left to do but ..

The Bonneville car is going to stop progress ..Then the dirt car

Man, this is same week at Good Guys .. ahhhh pooo

That might not work ..at all, I've got people coimg to town :(

They repaved the left lane, so it's better.

With any luck I'll make it this time, but won't run anything.. I'll be able to haul extra parts/tires if someone needs me too though :)

Somebody's gonna have to drive the coupe and I don't think Angie's up for it. Or maybe I'll drive the coupe and you can drive the '55?

If Bass and BIG RIC come down, I may want to drive the coupe one more time to show 'em the what for.:)

But yeah, we need to get the sedan done this winter, after the '55, and Judson's GTO, and your wife's '63, and Krupa's roadster and all of your customer cars.....

and 4 speeding the cutlass, and finishing Wifeys floors and getting her 455 built and stabbed, Bob's truck, KiKi's goat (2.0) ANOTHER g.t.o., Ed's freebird, Pat's truck, Ken's truck, Steve's chassis,
    and remodeling the rent house.

shit. I should go home and get some rest...I'm gonna need it.

Gonna be tough to finish the '55 without 4 speeding the Cutlass!

Look at it this way... With my first time on the track with the '55, and wifie's first time on the track with anything, you wouldn't have time to race the sedan even if it was done.

    Curtis bringin' his coupe?:D

Your coupe, Curtis's coupe, Bass's coupe, my coupe, Ryan's '38 and Rics' '40 should be some real good racing. I think we are all in the 12.5-13 range. I'm guessing on Curtis's. Has he run it, yet?

And then there is DW down there in the 11.50's. Maybe we can hide his blower.

Awww horse hockey. Swap the slugs. Hog out the chambers. Bolt on the huffer. Blow shit up! You know you wanna. (actualy I'm pretty sure you don't but it's MY story & I'm sticking to it).
In reality, your naturaly aspirated, heavier than, nasty to the bone 55, is probably be a good second quicker against my little no hooking machine. I know you are gonna get you some traction.
By the way. is the Buzzard Coupe gonna get to Mokan???

Bill at Austin Performance has gasoline for that kind of compression, I know that because it what I have to run in my roadster. Besides $8.75 a gallon is not that much to have a whole lot of fun.:D
