Well, its just a test to see if I like the color. I have off fri-sat and I'm going to paint the whole thing then. It turned out pretty good, this is with no wet sanding before or after. I just sanded the old paint down, primered, and painted, then cleared. Its all Duplicolor spraypainnt. There is something on my lense, and the flash makes it look "wierd" in some pictures, but I think it'll actually turn out pretty good when its all said and done. The base of the car is getting painted that blue, while the top is getting painted white, and I'll probably also do white scallops on the front fenders. I know I'm going to get people who say it looks like crap, but I'll be able to paint the whole car for under $100, and it turns the car into a 10 footer instead of a 500 footer.
No, and like I said this is a test. Once I get the fuel system back together, I need to take it out and pressure wash it. It still has jalopy showdown dirt on it.
For being totally afro, that doesn't look half bad. Is that the spray touch up paint for modern colors they sell?
I've sprayed a couple cars with cheap ass enamel from tractor supply company. A gallon of paint, the hardener, and thinner wont set you back more than $50. You can get the primer too and do it all for under a hundred.
