Flogged on it some more - fixed the engine issue and got the charging system to work (finally) the ammeter crapped out after five minutes of runnin' tho. Will have to add that to the winter 'do' list. Anyway - I tood a few pix this AM using my crappy cell phone camera. Steve - take a look at the REAL hollywood license plate light and bracket, willya? Thanks a million - I'm really humbled by the generosity!
Dunno if I ever told you this, but... I never saw that pic until after I'd envisioned what the car would look like done - including paint. When I first saw the car, I knew it had to be maroon.
Larry - The boss has a kick-ass top of the line camera, but I'm too retarded to be able to use it and resize the pix to upload to p-bucket. If it's mechanical - I can make it sing If it's electronic...I'm a dumbass. When it's all done, I'll do a photoshoot with the good camera, resize and post. The pix don't do it justice...honest.
More pix here: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=188054 the part that 'gets' me is that Zach hammered that grille shell outta three pieces of aluminum using only a shot bag and a hammer. I'f you've ever seen the hand hammered alloy gas tanks on the AJS's at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham (before it burned), the grille shell has the same 'look'. I'm dying to get the car on a set of scales - as it's got to be lighter than all get-out. a good portion (maybe 30%) of the car is alloy.
I'm on that like a fat kid on cake. Now....if I can get some ambition to get mine roadworthy......you're more than welcome to beat the crap outta mine.
