I don't recall getting any messages from you. I do check that email - it's my only email account. I might have deleted it thinking it was spam.

I Just Watched The Video Of Joe...it Made Me Smile, That Is So Him. I Loved When He Was Talking About The Car And People Would Ask Him If There Was Metal Under There And He Said"yea Theres Metal Under There, Do You Want Me To Show You...i'll Rip It Off Right Now". He Was The Best!!!

We were a little influenced by the Fonze . Sawed up a 50 merc , after watching what Joe did all those years . That Flamethrower contest on the rt 3 service road [Rutherford Cops Closed it }at Lead East was the greatest . Joe Sulpi Blew his engine doing burnouts and the Fonze won the flamethrower contest . The reason I never get to the US Nationals .

You around Muncie? I seen it has BSU in your name. I live just outside of Muncie.

    Ron,

Graduated from BSU and still live pretty local to the area.

In your photo albums we have a lot of the same photos from the same events. We have probably ran into each other and didn't know it.

First time I've seen this or heard of him. Donna, it's obvious that he was well loved by his contemporaries. Not everyone on a forum of this size will have the perspective necessary to even get what he was doing. To you young guys trying to figure out the history thing, keep in mind that back then there was hardly anyone building '49-51 anything so give him credit for never losing the faith. His vision was obviously an over-the-top cartoon version. Isn't hot rodding about being politically incorrect? Used to be anyway.
