Bed width. 57-60 ford f-100

    does anyone know off the top of thier head how wide from bed rail to bed rail a 57 ford shortwide box is? thanks

    You want the measurement from the inside of the top of the bed-rail to the inside of the other side? I can measure mine tomorrow, it's a '60, but I'm certain they're the same. Just let me know exactly where you want the measurements so we're comparing apples to apples.

    FYI, the Ford boxes from 1953 to 1972 are basically the same (even the fenders & tailgates). There might be small differences in mounting points for the different years.

    my 58 merc is 64.5 inchs.across the rials in the center,it norrows by a 1/4 inch at the ends were the stake holes are.
     
  5. My '63 is all over the place, but it was a work truck after all. Same bed as yours- non unibody.

    64 5/8" at the back top, 64 11/16" above the wheels, 64 3/8" at the front bulkhead. That's measured inside the top edge. The top rail is roughly 3" across on the flat surface not including the radius.
