This just came in to us at Goodguys. I thought I'd pass it along. My name is Cj Goodman. I am an Independent film Producer/Director. On Saturday, July 28th 2007, we are shooting a feature film, titled THE SOC HOP. On this date we are filming the opening sequence which takes place in 1956. We will be shooting at the local High School in Lafayette, California. It will be from 10am - 10pm, but cars will not be needed till later that evening, at dusk time. I was wondering if you can help me. I need about 30 autos of this era. They require nothing more then just being parked, for an exterior shot. We may have one or two cars pulling into the High School parking lot, other then that, the rest are parked. Once we get the shot, the cars and owners may leave at that time. In return, we will give full credit to Good Guys and/or car clubs used. Also food will be provided on Location. If you can help us out in anyway, or at least direct us to local car clubs, we would really appreciate it. On a personal note, I love this era, and attend the Good Guys car shows at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. Thank you for your time, CJ Goodman OHP Films and Entertainment 925-487-2154 ohp@comcast.net If you contact them just reference me and this email that was sent to Goodguys so they know what you are talking about. It's not a big time Hollywood gig, but it could be fun.
Lemme know when you plan a movie in Texas. I have the Green 49 Ford cp that was in Hairspray with John Travolta starting July 20th. Tex.
