I got my eye on an old custom that's located in Thousand Oaks. I struck a deal with the current owner, contingent on having a few things checked out at a local shop before I throw down the money. Anyone out there own/run a shop there or know a good shop that could do a compression check and check out a few "problem areas" for me? HAMBer preferred and of course this is a paying deal.

    Thanks.

I'll post picts when it's sitting in my driveway...which may be real soon...I hope I didn't get you too excited, it's not a Barris original or Westergard or from that era. By old I meant it weas built in the early 70's...In Bellflower though...now that's not to say it looks typically 70's...actually some very tasty mild mods done...I will post picts soon

  7. At first I was going to recommend this: Try calling these?

    http://www.ocautoservice.com/Ventura_Cl***ics.asp

Newbury Park is the closest to T.O.

    ...

Then I looked in the phone book, and I'd say these 2 are your best bet, unless someone else has a first-hand rec.

    Thanks,
    Kurt

For a shop in T.O I would say

The Rod Shop in Simi Valley – 805-581-8022

Noble Fabrication in Ventura – 805-652-0595

and for closer to you I would recomend

    Skratch's Garage – 818-768-0054 in Sunland

    Good luck and congrats!
