Don't know why i bought it ....besides the fact that it's a bitchin longroof!!! It had been off the road for a bunch of years ,sittin in a field 2 jugs of tranny fluid,an alternator, some juice, one brake line, and drove it to the local hangout that nite!! Now i gotta decide wether to sell or fix,....just didn't want to see it rot away!! oops ...still cant do the pic thing proper!!
Ya ..it's kinda cool! it's a 58 Yeoman ,2dr,350/4bbl,1970's boogie van interior(shag) ,some short ass gears(goes like a raped ape!) But....I AM a Ford guy.......decisions ...decisions
[ QUOTE ] Oh jeez, I want that thing. You drive that here and tow my merc home?? [/ QUOTE ] I dunno brother.....Melville? ..Thats like.....a long way!!
Man, that's cool! [ QUOTE ] But....I AM a Ford guy.......decisions ...decisions [/ QUOTE ] Drop a SBF in it! Revenge of the Ford Guy!!
58 two door wagon!!...pretty rare set of wheels bro!..make one kool ride once you throw some attitude at it!! ......keep the rest of the family here posted on the progress!
I have also never crossed over to the dark side in three decades. However, I think that '58 2 door wagon could tempt me. It would be really cool with a tri-powered 348 or 409 stuffed in her.
58 and 59 2 dr wagons are my favorite. they were my first choice when i was looking for an affordable project.. I ended up with my turd.. How is the body, looks solid from the pics.. nice find.. See it is not so bad being a chevy owner.. Welcome to the long roof club.
Boones man ...I aint no late entry to the club! between my kid and i theres.....8 wagoons in the yard! I've got a 61 2rd Falcon sw(for20 years),a 69 falcon sw(daily),a 64 International Ambulance(ex-dragstrip vehicle). And now this thing,it's fairly solid, the usual floors and rear fenders, but the rest is mint! My kid has 4-59 cheby's sw's,2 4dr,1-2dr,and 1-2dr sedan delivery(don't know where i went wrong)he fell into the dark side!
I think I just figured out why you want my wheels... If you do decide to sell it, make sure you let me know
That must be about as rare a Chevy body style as you could find. The C-pillar treatment is unique to that year and make, and I don't think I've ever seen one before (deliveries, yes, but the upper quarters aren't the same). Was it only a Canadian body style, maybe? Anyway, I think it's neat!
You now, Rev, I have been looking for a running driving long roof for a while now. You like Fords? I can get my hands on a nice running 60 Frontenac sedan, 6 auto, ...... And the merc too..
Rev that thing is pretty cool. Maybe I`ll be able to check it out next weekend if I make it to the track.
50fraud;actually the cars from Oklahoma from what i can figure.and thanx. MR57;hmmmmm aFrontenac you say.....hmmmmmmm,and a Merc what?It just so happens i have some Frontenac parts layin around!! and a Merc what? Thanx for all the kind comments guy's but............did i mention.......it's a Chev it's a religous thang!!
That's a badass longroof! I could see it with some Watson scallops, a tube grille, and slammed on the ground. Just don't tell me you would rather have a '58 Ford wagon. You gotta admit the Chev is much, much, much, more handsome.
As said earlier, that's a rare one you have on your hands. I say, FIX IT UP! If not, there will be no shortage of buyers if you want to unload it (as already seen on this thread)! Coils all around...makes em easy to lower too. -Duck
