What a great summer this has been for me...first I won the Period Perfect award at the Orange County Goodguys, and then the Traditional award at the Del Mar Goodguys...then the September issue of Street Rodder came out and my 51 Chevy is featured on pages 124-127, what an experience to have my car shot in a studio... I am so excited, I have had this car since I was 16 and it is my first car....this has been the best summer yet!!!! Thanks KIRK and RF..... John I dont think I will sleep tonight!!!!!!!

Congrats T.B., that is way cool. please be heads up after the great run of success, a couple of years ago a friend of mine had a record year of awards and coverage. But was the victim of a mean verbal attack by some one thinking they were a comedian. It took one of our premier hot rodders right out of the scene. So please enjoy, but be aware that some folks can be jealous and want to rain on a guys parade. Rock on Daddy, I just had to throw that out. thanks for the kind words and the heads up...I know the whole jealous thing and I can handle it....I look at as a compliment!! most people are not jealous of a piece of ****!!! I guess if they are jealous it a good thing...But I have some GREAT friends that I have met on the H.A.M.B...and hang with all the time...No worries...still on a high!!! John

LOL Years ago I took my roadster to the Daytona Turkey Rod Run. A few months later I just happened to meet the mailman at the road and was handed the newest issue of Street Rodder proclaiming coverage of the show inside. What a surprise it was to see a pic of my car in there knowing that there were rods there with easily ten times more money in them!! Not even close to a full feature but very cool none the less.
As I opened those pages I thought the car looked a little familar. I sat there looking at this beautiful car and then I saw the striping; I started yelling. My wife thought I was nuts until I calmed down enough to tell her about it. Congrats John and Ray!!!! Vance

A Canadian " KONGRATULATIONS " John from fellow a Time-Bomb member.Looks good on you. I remember following you in my shoebox on our way to the leadsled and couldn`t figure out why my windshield was covered in oil when I was following you.We pulled over on the Hwy. and found the leak at the rocker cover gasket ,just in time....Remember? Hey John...thanks.. I remember the rocker cover deal!! I had to put a crate motor in it stop leaking LOL and now I have a 303 Olds for it! boy those old engines are expensive to build...those were some fun times..great memories...we will be hanging out for sure...my 51 will be at the G.N.R.S in 08 also...I can't wait!!! beautiful car, you timebomb guys sure do build some gorgeous and well detailed cars. I was lucky enough to see the 36 in person, you guys should hand out bibs when showing your cars (drool).
