I have over 150 images of the cars at the show and I still have at least another 100 to post later this week. So take a look and enjoy.

I thought the show was great and I noticed numerous HAMB cars/trucks out there. Especially loved the Burbans/trucks out at this years event. My first time there but it won't be my last!

    Enjoy the images...

I wonder when this trend of lowering cars down with 22's will go away. Some of these rides are awesome and then go and they do that........

I'm glad I'm not the only one that HATES those rims. The Mercedes headlights get under my skin too. Thanks for the pics.

Glad you all appreciate the images. I have some very cool ones still to come. Many to come actually. I just ran out of time to upload these. As for the big wheel deal, I am in between... I love steelies and white walls but I love to see 20X10 or 20x15 wheels stuffed under a pro-street car or truck too. But that is america for you! We have options. I will get those other images posted ASAP...

Great shots, even one of my hunk on there.

I agree lowphat53, even though it isn't what I am into I like looking at the variety.

HAHA, I was wondering how long it would take for someone to ask or say something about that! It got loads of attention but not sure about the motor and several other things. Looked to be on a ranger frame with I-beams and had the ranger 4-cyl motor powering it as well. I was scratching my head with that one...

Great pictures thanks! I know people have been bashing those cars from east bay rods alot here, but in their defense, they are super nice guys, and there is alot of work in those 3 cars. The 2 chopped cars actually aren't too bad. And even if the roadster thing isn't my style it still took alot of fab work. It takes all kinds. Main thing is those cats drive the wheels off of them. How many of the guys that will bash can say they have cars that they do that with? (steps off soapbox) Sorry for the rant, but they were really nice guys.

Bob, I guess you had to be there. I was and believe me, that critter was just butt-ugly! However, the guys that were driving the cars around (there were at least three of those things) were having the time of their lives. Actually using and enjoying their creations! Some of the things they did were actually kind of cool. So, I cut them some slack and said "welcome" in the HAMB spirit of doing things.

All in all, I had a great time at this year's show. The quality and number of cars just gets better every year. And to see Gary Meadors driving around in Roadstar's old '40 was neat. I love that car! Can't wait for next year.

That's cool John, they were having fun and fun is what it's all about.

So that is who was driving the 40, it was being driven at Des Moines but I didn't know the guy who was driving it. If that was Meadors he wasn't very friendly. I said something about it being Rudy's old car and was ignored. I don't know Meadors at all is he usually a friendly guy?

Yes that is Gary driving my old 40 Coupe, he absoulutly loves the car. He looked me up in Columbus and invited me to have a drink with him and Sam Foose, OMG what a cool deal, But I think I made Sam mad by telling him Chip was just ok, and he(Sam) was my real rod building hero.

Gary is a very cool guy Bob, he may not have heard you thats all, he is always real friendly and loves to talk about hot rods.

And yes Columbus was a good show with alot of new stuff to see, I see a change in trends with the Muscle cars getting the mega buck treat ment that was once reserved for streetrods but as long as you can appreciate the workmanship and quality and yes some of the creativity put in those cars, they can be cool to check out

I did the Des Moines to Columbus tour and found Gary and his wife to be friendly and nice. They drove the 40 all the way, one of my favorite cars of the trip.

It was a great event and I just added the remaining images. Check out the blown flathead image. Not sure if that is the same 40 Ford you guys are referring to. Enjoy and next time hopefully I can meet more of the HAMB guys/gals...
