I put a stock 350 cu-350 hp Chevy int a '39 Buick sedan. I put Sanderson 1000 cast headers on it that have 2 1/2" flanges. Any thoughts on wether I should go with 2 1/2 all the way or is that too big for a SBC? I've heards SBC like smaller exhaust for bottom end torque.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

2" Would be quieter, other than that you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. That sounds like a heavy car but I'd still go with the 2 1/2".

2 1/2" pipes back to the mufflers, and 2 1/4" tail pipes

    Thanks, fellas.

Squirrel: The car will look alot like the '39 Chevy you have in your pics. I want to use a flowmaster dual exhaust piping kit from Summit. I probably will get the 2 1/2 size and use it all the way through since the kits only come with pipes all the same size. I'll be using chambered pipes as mufflers (like the tubes used for '65-'67 Corvette sidepipes) about middle of car and then run tailpipes up over rear and exitbehind rear tire coming down from top.
    Thanks
