I'm coming down Friday with the 63 Impala and my wifes new non-HAMB muscle car. The 57 is down for now getting a new engine. The rest of the Choppers will be there all day Saturday for sure. This is gonna be one hell of a party.

The Impala is a wagon with a 283 and a glide, it couldn't spin the tires on ice with 6 guys lifting the rear bumper! :) I'll try and hire a local, um, lady with a loose radiator hose and see if I can win those tires this year. ;)

Kevin, should be there around 10:30 on Saturday morning. Either way will definetly be at the "Meat and Grease" at noon. Haven't been to the track in years, so does someone know of a good spot to hook-up? Think Denise may have said to meet by the band stage?

P.S. May be a good idea to subscribe to this thread to keep everone on the same timing mark.

Nope. I kept her from crossing over to "the dark side". It's a plum crazy purple 68 Cougar, Dan Gurney Special. She'll be racing it on Saturday. Are you bringing the Rebel Reaper?

Any idea when the burnout compe***ion will be on Saturday? The web sight just says after race eliminations. But I really need a time frame.....And is my 8 year old allowed in my car during my burn-out?

I be there, Fri and Sat. I think it takes a whopping 15 minutes to get there from home!

Unfortunately I'm driving the HAMB-incompatible 'Family Truckster', my box-body Panther wagon. I think i'll race and see if the 3.55 gears (and woodgrain) really helps that tired 5.0. Perhaps some manual shifting of its AOD will drop me into the 17's.

See y'all at the m&g at noon, be careful driving down!

DO NOT MISS: Hot Rod Hucksters or Lords of the Highway on Sat.

The burnout contest will be after eliminations. It's hard to say exactly when that will be. It depends on how many cars show up to race. Last year we had 125 cars racing and I believe the burnout contest started around 7PM. I'm expecting many more cars this year. I would guess it will be sometime between 6-7:30PM but if we get 500 cars racing it might be later...Your 8 year old should be fine as long as you have a seatbelt for him or her.

Is someone bringing a banner to hang-up? Damn-it, wish I would have thought about it earlier. Could have had Kinko's wip one out.
    ($8sq. ft.)
The "banner" at last years Daytona Turkey Rod Run was really lame?
Will send a PM to Denise, maybe she has one.

Yep, the banner king will be there I'm not sure whether he's done a banner for this event or not. I do know he's done event name tags and these awesome event stickers to give to HAMB folks at the Meet & Greet Sat at noon.:D

Either way I will bring a banner....just might be one of the older, generic HAMB ones.

I can't believe you said that. Watch out, Petejoe is going to be after you! And yes, 'flathead' and 'race' most definitely go togther!

I'll be there on Saturday. I wasn't planning on coming til later in the day but since the M&G is at noon I guess I'll be there then!

This is going to be great! :D

Just to reiterate my thoughts on the pin up contest from the other thread, I can't believe the winner of the pin up contest does not win hot rod parts!

I didn't know Amy and I had a purse love in common. We will most definitely have to chat next time I see her. Boy, are you in trouble!

HRLC is referencing my awesome purse that Dag striped for me over the winter. It is a coach found in the bottom of a bin at a second hand store. She may have actually seen it at the Cinematic. I love it!

I think I will start a hot rod purse thread. KustomLincolnlady has a totally cool husband made one as well!

Maybe this will get Amy to join the HAMB. Hey wait a minute. This is going to cost me alot of money!
