I'll be there, hopefully with my truck. How are they going to fit everyone in there without the old parking area? I remember seeing them close up the gates at the Antique Nats because it was full.
LACR was my home track for more than twenty years, when I was racing. The Rat Fink Party would be a good way to say goodbye. I'm in. Craig
My kid and I will be there, he has a chopped & bagged '51 shoebox with a 383 and I'll drive up in my '35 sedan.....with a V-8. I beat him on our last run last year when he spun a main bearing......I promised him another shot at me.
Would be nice if I were closer, especially for the last bash. There should be a moment of silence sometime during the festivities. Frank
I wish i had the money to make it out, i have not been there in 20 years, i grew up in lancaster, so that place is kinda special, hate to see it go.
You know, I thought about this for a second and then I realized I'm crazy. Last time I raced the '59 was about 3 years ago and I ran 19's. Doubt I can do any better these days.... I'll race you on your bicycle though....
My son and I "made laps" last year, I think we each got 8 or 9 p***es until he broke. We are ready again! I'll probably finish off my whitewalls this year.
awwwww thunderrod was supposed to have his first run....you know the rest of the story...will b there with my black 64 tbird !
You guys are killing me, I was not going to go but maybe I can make it and show you "Youngin's" how it's done . Just kidding, I've never raced my current car, but I might have to give it a try.
Ok, I'll race if I p*** tech.... have to install the seatbelts tonight then! I'd like to see you wheelie my bike with the basket....
Looks like we'll put the seatbelts in tomorrow as well as reconnecting my flamethrowers... mwahahahaha! Don't think you'll need a helmet unless you plan to be in the 14's... Basic NHRA Safety Rules Meeting tech is pretty easy depending on how fast your vehicle goes so read this information carefully. The following list should answer a few of the more common questions concerning what is required to race at LACR. It is presented as general information only and you should always refer to the Current "Official NHRA Rule Book" or your local track before heading out to race. If you have any questions Call Moldy @ (661) 944-2299 or L.A.C.R. (661) 533-2225 For most of you entering the show these rules will apply. Just got back from the Ratfink party. Thousands were on hand. A perfect day. I took my Hot Rod down the strip 8 times. It was by far the most fun I have ever had in a car( well at least while by myself.) Hung out with Tyler(Primemover) Craig (Sracecraft) Curt(Sgt Lethargic) 41 Dave, And Mark(Hip) Along with some other folks that I know. The traffic to get in was backed up for a mile or so.
