I need to have my bushings reamed to fit my kingpins and either need to know where to get a hand reamer or where around Omaha Nebraska I can get it done. Is there anyone in Omaha that does this?

    Thanks

I've had them done at Bill's Machine and Supply in Florence. 8708 N. 28 Ave. I'm sure there's other machine shops that would do them.

How much did they charge you? I'm trying to decide if I should find a reamer to buy since i have to do at least 2 more sets and which will be the better value (being on a tight budget).

Good Canadian made '28-48 Ford ones are about $100 at Brattons. Used ones are commonly cheap because sellers rarely know exactly what they fit...but you gotta findem.

mark hydraulics will knock the old bushings out and install/ ream the new ones to fit for about $105.00, if you have the parts. if the bushings are already installed its cheaper.

105.00! Sure glad I don't live in the big city. Down here in East Post Hole NE., the going rate is around 25-30 bucks for the whole deal, remove, replace and ream. Sometimes living in the sticks isn't all bad.

Don't ream them, have them honed. Most engine shops that rebuild connecting rods have a Sunin hone for the small end of connecting rods, this gives a far better finish than reaming.
