I just got a new posie reverse eye spring and am trying to fit it up in my 32 crossmember,it seems to not go up in flush against the crossmember.i thought i had read somewhere were it said you have to grind a little from the first leaf to get it to fit right?? anybody have any suggestions.

The top leaf of stock Ford springs had the edges cut at a 45, instead of the close-to-square like the others. Plus, there was a piece of welting (like the body-to-frame welt) on top of the spring too.

Take a grinder and knock the top edges off the Posie spring for about 6 to 8 inches.
